Ni Ketut Ayu Puspita Dewi

Ayu is a Balinese entrepreneur, communication trainer, conference interpreter, and somatic trauma counsellor. 

Through her company, Bali Interpreting, she connects people across languages and cultures while creating meaningful opportunities for women in the language industry. Beyond her business, Ayu is dedicated to training interpreters and collaborating with schools and universities to nurture the next generation of language professionals. 

Ayu also teaches Compassionate Communication for NGOs and women’s groups, and facilitates Balinese blessings and rituals that weave together compassion, mindfulness, and healing.

Ayu is the chair of Yayasan Literasi Anak Indonesia, a literacy foundation with mission to improve  early literacy nationwide. The initiatives have reached  over 13,000 schools across 121 regencies in Indonesia—some of which have been adopted by the Indonesian Ministry of Education. Her big dream is that Nonviolent Communication and emotional intelligence too, will an integrated program  in Indonesian schools.

Guided by her passion for language, leadership, and women’s empowerment, Ayu provides scholarships and mentorship for young women and children in remote Balinese villages. When she’s not working, you’ll find her immersed in nature, hiking,  dancing, or swimming in the ocean—the places where she reconnects with joy and inspiration.
